An acrylic painting inspired by what was live from within. At the time I was feeling very alien and as if I didn’t belong here on this Earthly plane. The more I tap into my heart, the more I am reminded of my human-ness, while so reminded of the start dust that’s influencing my DNA.

This piece was going to be destroyed. I had moments throughout I wanted to just start over and paint over it, although I didn’t.
I reminded myself that it was part of the process. The messiness, the doubt, the fear and leaping towards the unknown.

Here’s the thing, when we’re creating anything new, our mind will come up with narratives on why we should stop or why it’s not ‘right’, the truth is our mind will find ways to keep us in our comfort zone (as that’s its job).

When we’re creating something new it means we’re putting ourselves outside of our comfort zone.

So let this be a reminder that our ‘work’ is probably not as atrocious as our mind tells us, many times it’s our perception being impacted by our unconscious patterns/beliefs about not being good enough. Use that space to remind and practise de-attaching our worth and value from our productivity or the narratives that run in our minds!
